Todd Schaefer, The Artist Guy, has been drawing ever since he can remember. He was often called out as one of the creative kids in most of his classes which ultimately lead him to pursue and complete a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Illustration and Graphic Design from Columbia College of Chicago in 1996.
Todd had often visited a local theme park many times in his early years and spent time watching the t-shirt airbrush and caricature artists as he was fascinated with their artwork.
In 1991, he acquired a position as a t-shirt airbrush artist with Fasen Arts, Inc. at the very theme park he often visited in his youth. It was through this opportunity that he learned the art of airbrushing and, eventually, the art of caricature.
Todd had also worked as both a t-shirt airbrush artist and caricature artist with Extrordinair Art, then owned and operated by Gary Fasen (Todd’s mentor) in Gurnee Mills Mall.
In 1997, Todd started his own business providing caricature and caricature entertainment services and has entertained many private and corporate parties utilizing his skills as a caricature artist. Todd has also entertained patrons of many local festivals in the Lake County, IL area.

Todd is also a published artist having his work appear in “SOARING Magazine” which is a magazine published by the Soaring Society of America, Inc.
